Chat & Forum Rules Aleris Timeline Outer Gates Rules Fighting Rules	The below rules apply to all settings of Aleris RPG - chat and forum role playing. The below rules, if followed, will allow Aleris RPG to keep a smooth and successful playing field. Please keep these rules in mind when creating any new storylines with another player. Rules 1. No God Moding. No one wants to play with someone who thinks their character is all powerful and cannot be touched by any other. Examples of Moding: Insusceptibility to all actions directed toward your character. Unhindered ability to teleport anyplace, anytime. Granted, there are some characters that have the ability to propel themselves through space without walking, but it must be conveyed in a tasteful and believable manner. Stating another character's actions or thoughts without their permission. Assuming that all actions your character performs effects the other characters they are interacting with. 2. We require our players to be 18 years or older. While sexually explicit scenes are not promoted, they are also not frowned on. 3. We ask that OOC (out of character) mainly occur in our designated OOC room, #Aleris-OOC. We understand that limited OOC will occur in our main room, #Aleris. This is acceptable as long as it does not get out of hand. If it appears that the OOC conversation is inhibiting IC (in character) play, a GM may post a reminder for these conversations to be moved into either whisper or an OOC room. 4. Character Separation. This commonly seems to be what most players have difficulty understanding. Some key points to remember: Do not bring OOC issues IC. If you are angry with a player, do not automatically make your character mad at theirs. Same applies with the reverse. Do not take IC issues OOC. Characters do not automatically "know" other characters, even if you know the player in real life, unless agreed on by the players thereof. 5. Please do what our GM's ask. These Game Masters are here to make the game run as smoothly as possible in order to maintain an optimal gaming environment for our players. If you believe that a GM's request is unreasonable, please bring this to the attention of one of our HGMs. 6. Storyline Paragraph fighting is allowed in the main room. If this results in a character death, that death must be planned by the player thereof. Otherwise, all deaths in #Aleris are null and void.
