Jobs are important to choose because they are a sole way of gaining money in Aleris besides characters going on hosted quests. Job openings will be posted here, but you must apply via the forum if you are interested in a position.

There are three different types of job categories:

1. Defense - Consists of ranks within the kingdom. This system is set up to protect the people of Aleris and their king.

2. Religious - This faction contains the deities of Aleris and their most trusted advisors and fighters.

3. Civil - A section for the people of Aleris mainly revolving around The Chronicle and shopkeepers (Managers and Employees).

A larger version of this job map can be found here.

1. Employees and Soldiers must make a single post within a two week time span describing some activity at their job. Any other position above these ranks must make two posts within a two week time span.

  • If you are a Manager or Employee, your post must be made in your designated shop thread on the Cornucopia Market forum.
  • If you are a member of the Aleris Chronicle, articles count for your weekly post.
  • If you are a member of "Defense" or "Religious" sectors, you may make a post in any forum as long as it relates to your position.

2. In order to receive gold payments, any weekly posts must have at least 500 words. Please see the chart above for gold payment amounts. Every 100 words over the minimum 500 requirement will tack on an additional 25 gold.

3. Characters may only apply for one position in the Kingdom of Aleris at any time.

4. To apply for a job as a Manager, Employee or Reporter, you most post in this thread on the forum. Manager positions will be approved by the GMs and Employee or Reporter positions will be approved by their higher-ups as long as there is one in place. For the "Defense" and "Religious" jobs, a job application must be role played out through a storyline and your position will be accepted by the higher rank in charge.

6. If a character does not meet the minimum weekly post requirements for his/her job, they will be removed from the position. If a job is taken away, a character may reapply for a different one in two weeks. If any person is having a difficult time keeping up with the posting requirement for their job, please contact one of the GM staff members via the forum.
