Physical Features:
As one looked at her when she came into view, they would notice the luxurient golden hip-length tresses and sapphire blue eyes at first. Immediately one could see that she was a unique individual, perhaps unlike any that has ever been seen by most folks. Question was though, just what was this young woman? Was she Elven, Human, or altogether something else? Well, for those curious folk, why don't you decide for yourself? One might think she was either an Elven child or a human child at first apperance, but she was neither.

The young woman was barely seventeen and her slender figure was slowly filling out; she was on the verge of womanhood. Her short stature of 5'2 and her petite well honed form often led one to believe that she wasn't all that strong, but appearances were rather decieving, were they not? She was covered from her head to her golden hooves in soft, silken white fur that was about two inches in length and as lusterous as that of her namesake; the Unicorn. Her face is similar to that of an Elfs, with its delicate chiseled features, though a bit longer with the same tapered ears. A small ivory horn of four inches in length protruded from her forehead.

A tail not unlike that of a Unicorn's swayed sensuously behind her as it poked out of her clothing thanks to her clothes being modified to accomodate the appendage appropiately. Her long golden tresses were usually either pulled up into a simple pony tail, or left hanging down to cascade along her back. She often braids her tail and mane of golden tresses with colorful ribbons or other hair ornamentations woven into the luxurient strands. Feathery tufts of hair could be found on her forearms and cannons (ankles), about five inches in length resembling the feathers above a Unicorn's hooves. Her legs were a perfect blend of the two races which made her, ending in a golden hoof crowned by admantium horseshoes.

Around her neck, is an amulet that allows her to see, due to its magical properties. She doesn't understand how it works, she just knows it does. She didn't see quite like normal people. At least not in the sense that some might think. Being blind since birth, she's depended on the magical amulet about her neck since the age of five. Around each of her wrists are three silver bangle bracelets which jingled whenever she moved her arms. Another necklace as well adorned her neck, but it's properties were known only to herself and two others. Despite being young, she's able to fend for herself, so she's allowed to carry weapons, but just because she's young and still learning the arts of fighting, that didn't mean she was totally defenseless. A katana was sheathed in a black scabbard at her left side, its ivory carved hilt resembling that of a reared unicorn pawing at the air. Tiny sapphires made up the shimmering eyes of the noble creature.

As for garments, since coming to the Empire, she's created her own style of fashion. She often mixes Elven and Oriental clothing for whatever reason know only to her. It all depends on her mood or perhaps a social function she might attend. One never knew what she would come up with.

Background:
Like Elves, the Unari didn't actually require sleep, they could sleep if they so chose or enter the Reverie, like Elves. Unari basically were Elves, for they followed many of the Elven ways and believed much the same way as them. Only difference was the obvious fact that the Unari were halfbreeds of two beautiful faces; the Elves and the Unicorn. Kye was a mere 'fawn' compared to any Unari or Elven elder. Long-lived were the Unari, so she had centuries to live and years to learn all manner of things.

In only sixteen years, this young girl has endured life all in stride, loving the solitary life--for the most part anyway. At times it did get awfully lonely, but in truth she knew she wasn't totally alone. She had her friends, person and animal alike, and she had chosen the entire world to be her Mother. Born blind, the Unari teen has never known her biological parents. Just why she was orphaned was a mystery to her, and perhaps would be for many years to come. Despite that though, she found a loving father to adopt her and raise her. Jett, a blind Ninja, who as far as she knew, had no kids, took her in and raised her as his own. As such, he taught and educated her in the ways of Ninjitsu, meditation, and taught her quite a bit. He taught to read, write, and started her well on her way to being well educated.

After learning to read, libraries were visited almost ritually by her. Most of all he taught her to be self-suffiecient and rather independant, though even at the age of five, when he adopted her, she was well on her way to trying to do things for herself.

Over the years she learned to defend herself, both with and without the use of her precious magical amulet. The amulet he had given her, which matched his own, gifted her with the exceptional sight of the Elves. In the most basic of terms, the amulet connected to her mind's eye, all her optical nerves and her eyes, and even into the depths of her brain to allow her sight like a normal person. It also allowed her to keep track of and communicate with her father.

Later when she was fourteen, Forsaken improved the amulet. He kept the connection, but he made it so that she could control the amulet on a much deeper level then before, connecting it to her eyes directly, so that it would seem as if her eyes worked normally. If she blinked, the 'Eye' of the amulet blinked. Whatever her eyes did, the amulet copied the movement of her eyes. She no longer had to turn and twist her body to aim the amulet before looking at something.

All of that side, before Jett adopted her, she had first met Deirdre and Gaven. For a while things seemed to looking to where the couple might adopt her, but for reasons unknown to Kye, they both vanished out of her life, thier relationship failed, and it wasn't until a couple or three weeks ago that she discovered they were no longer together. Was she angry at either of them for not adopting her? No. There was no reason for anger. Was she hurt deeply about it? Of course she was, but she had long ago forgiven them and moved on with her life. Did she long for a mother and father? Of course she did, but she was happy to have Jett for a father. Could she have used a mother all these years? Indeed she could have, but she had made another her mother, and she had chosen well, at least in her mind anyways.

She called the earth her mother, for she and she alone provided all she needed. Sunlight and the darkness of the night both embraced her when she sought comfort. Every mote of air caressed over her skin and ruffled her silken fur with the invisible fingers of the wind. A gentle tickle or a hushed breeze from 'Uncle Wind' was just as much comfort to her as a mother's arms around her child. Every time she took a dip in a river, stream, lake, or the ocean, the embrace of the waves from 'Aunt Wave'' washing over her nude form was immense comfort to her.
